This house was built during the boom. It has lots of angles, there isn't one square room in the house which makes it awkward to arrange furniture, the sitting room for example is long and narrow so only three people can watch TV without twisting their neck. The master bedroom has an en-suite, but the bed stops you being able to open the wardrobe and the bathroom doors fully. There is 3 bathrooms, including a useless toilet off the kitchen that we turned into storage area while we rented - perfect for the vacuum cleaner, mops, etc. It is a warm house, helped by having neighbours under the house, as it's a a duplex on a 2nd and 3rd floor. Heating is by gas, but the cooker is electric. There is a balcony at back of the property that is private as it overlooks trees at the back of Castletroy golf course.
There is no UPC Broadband in this house, you have to get Eircom or Eircom based DSL. We had Magnet broadband when we lived here and got speeds up to 16Mb which is OK. There is a satellite installed, so you can bring your own free-to-air box.
The nearest shops is Castletroy Shopping Centre that hosts Superquinn, McDonalds, a pharmacy, a cinema and many other stores - it is about a 30 minute walk.
